Happy FIRST Birthday Faith!!!!!

Faith turned one on May 14. It is amazing how fast the year has gone and how much she has developed in that time. She is now officially walking on her own. She has mishaps here and there of course, but walking is now her preferred mode of transportation :)
To celebrate her birthday, we had a party for her this Saturday. Grandma Dorothy, Aunt Kiki (Kristy) and Uncle Dan were able to come for it. Gma Debbie and Aunt Ally were planning on coming, but unfortunately Allison was in a car accident last Thursday. Her car was totalled, but THANKFULLY she was not seriously hurt. She was left very sore though, and understandably could not travel to MO the next day. We missed them, but are so thankful that she is safe.
Here are some pics of the celebration :)

Faith with Uncle Dan....you'll notice I wasn't great at getting pics of her smiling...but I swear she did :) Daddy putting on the birthday candles. Grandma Dorothy got Faith an icecream cake...which she really enjoyed...as you can see below :)

AND!!!! THE BIG CATCH! Nate and Dan went fishing Saturday night. Dan caught a 4 lb catfish and Nate caught a 6 lber. So for lunch today we had fried catfish. It was delicious!
In other news, I am completely done for the semester!!! One year down and one year to go. I have the summer off now, and am so thankful to have time with Nate and Faith. Nate's last day is June 2nd...as you can imagine, he's excited too :) The past year has been one of trials and joys. More than anything we are left thankful for all God has provided for us and especially for our baby girl :) Have a great week!

Leah, she's so big! I can't believe she's a year old already - happy birthday Faith!
I'm President of my law school's chapter of IJM next year and I came across a bunch of pictures and things from the beginning days of IJM at Northwestern - amazing how time flies, huh?
