Bubble Baths and Baby Mohawks

Faith had a bubble bath the other day, and she loved it. She tried to eat the bubbles and quickly found out that they are not so tasty. Then we decided to give her a mohawk...her hair is getting so long that we couldn't resist :)
She is doing so many fun things now-a-days. She's imitating our laughs, waving, crawling a few steps forward and many steps backward, learning to understand "no," and getting into everything :) Yesterday she was having fun flipping through some grown-up books...and she actually wasn't eating the pages :)

Yeah for bubble baths and a sweet baby!

Twinkie Cake Among Other Things...

To celebrate Nate's birthday we began a new family tradition: twinkie cake. Yep....a cake made purely of twinkies (18ish), whip cream and strawberries. Wow. It was so yummy. So, we had fun celebrating with a homemade steak dinner and cake.
Mattias'(his mom, Diana, watches Faith) first birthday party was this past Saturday. As you can see by the pics below, he also enjoyed his cake :) It was icecream which he loves. Faith had so much fun playing with him and all the other kids. She gets really excited when she sees other babies/toddlers. To express her excitement she shrieks. And I'm not exaggerating...it really is a shriek. It's pretty cute unless you happen to be holding her : ) Then it's still cute, but a little painful :)
Faith continues to move around more each day. She's now getting op on her knees and rocking a little bit. She can "crawl"/slide backwards, and she keeps working on forward. Regardless, she pretty much finds a way to get to where she wants to go....we're in the process of baby-proofing.
Nate has parent teacher conferences soon, so he's getting ready for that--putting files together and all that fun stuff :) My practicum is going well. I'm really enjoying hospice, and could see myself doing it after I graduate which is exciting. It's good to really be able to spend time with people at a hard time in their life.
Otherwise we enjoyed the warm weather yesterday and not so much the rain today :) We hope you're all doing well!!!!
Nate coming home from work to find his cake and cards :) Yummy...Happy birthday Daddy!!! (even though she's a little sleepy)Mattias trying to get his cake instead of posing for pics :)Did we mention he loves icecream? Notice the spot on the floor where he dropped a little :)Faith having fun helping mommy with laundryShe's a free bird! And...who knew socks could be so much fun?
Awww...Faith and daddy taking a nap. Her top teeth are coming in and it's a painful process for her.

What's in here?

Fun, Fun, Fun

It's been awhile since the last post, so we have lots of fun pics to share. Today is Nate's (and Uncle Dan's :)) birthday, so we'll have more pics soon :) Happy birthday!!!!!
Faith is quite the smiley girl these days. She laughs alot and think her parents are pretty silly. She's still feeling much better. Last week Daddy took her to the dr and she had double ear infections (most likely caused by the RSV). We went this morning and she still has one, so they changed her medication. But, her temperament has been great, even though she has the infections. She is working SO hard to crawl. Everyone keeps telling us that it'll be harder when she can crawl and get into everything...which is probably true...but we'll just be so happy for her! She wants to know what's going on all the time...and we think she'll have alot of fun following us around.
I start back to my practicum tomorrow and will be doing it 3 days a week. It was on a stand still until Faith was feeling better/not contagious. So, we're praying she'll do well at Diana's playing with Mattias. Enjoy the pics!
Daddy helping Faith ride the horse she got from Gma and PawPaw Al for Christmas. It plays music too, which she LOVES.Faith in her tiarra :) What a little princess :)

Solemn Sue...but still cute in her tiarra!
Riding the toy Grandma and Grandpa Berning got her for Christmas

Playing with the box the toy came in...which is almost as much fun (apparnetly) as riding the actual toy :)

Worn out....all this fun makes a girl tired.

That's all for now! Lots of love from this Hutchings clan :)
