Fun Times and Early Mornings :)

The semester is coming to a close! I just have one more project/group presentation on Monday, and I'll be finished. Nate is done next Friday and then we're leaving for OK! We are so ready and thankful for a break!

This past week we got family pics taken at JCPenneys. We learned a valuable lesson: Faith is more cooperative in the mornings/afternoon as opposed to evening time...after we've waited for quite some time. But, all things considered, she did well...and she always looks cute (not that we're biased or anything)...so it doesn't matter too much that she didn't smile alot. Here is the link if you want to check it out: https://www.smilesbywire.com/home.asp?AC=LTPP0417107051JCP

for username it is leah hutching (they forgot the "s")

Last night a friend of ours from church watched Faith so that Nate and I could have a date night. It was the first one if a few months :) We had a great time going to his Christmas party and then to coffee and a movie. Now...the ever popular pictures! :)

Faith and daddy early one morning before he went to work. They're both a little sleepy :)
Faith in one of her Christmas outfits (thanks Gma Debbie!) last Sunday. She was a hit at church :)Mattias came over to play with us yesterday. Faith was SO excited. Here they are playing with the exersaucer. Chillin out with the toys

Faith playing in the morning. Her newest favorite thing to do is to take all the toys out of the little tupperware containter....then I put them back in....she takes them out...and so on. It's entertaining for all of us :)

Hope you all are doing well and that you get a break for Christmas time too!

Aren't Cousins Fun?

Reagan and Faith had alot of fun together. Reagan gave Faith lots of hugs and kisses and Faith squeeled each time. It was pretty cute. Reagan was also very entertaining for Faith. She's quite the busy-body...always moving and playing...so Faith had fun just watching her! Here are some pics of the cousins having fun together...

Reagan and Faith on the counter playing with candy. We didn't let Faith eat any, but Reagan is having a good time with the twizzler pull and peels :)

Faith played in the walker and it had a little toy that you can press down and it plays music. Reagan would come over and press the toy, then start dancing to the music. Faith squeeled and bounced too :)

Taking a bath together. Reagan and Faith both like to try and drink the bath water :) They also traded rubber duckies.

AND....Cousins are SO fun that we're going to have ANOTHER ONE!!!!
Danielle kept it a secret for SIX WHOLE WEEKS. I honestly talk to her at least once a day, so this was a small miracle. She really wanted to tell our whole side of the family when we were all together, so she had Reagan come out one night dressed in this. We all thought it was a joke, but it's for real! CONGRATS to Danielle, Weston and Reagan! We're so excited :)

Thanksgiving!

Since both sides of our family are quite a drive from Columbia, we are alternating holidays. This Thanksgiving was spent in Iowa, and we will spend Christmas in Oklahoma. So, we have alot of pics from our time in Iowa. We had so much fun seeing family. Faith did really well too adjusting to being at Grandma and Grandpa Berning's. The guys had fun hunting but didn't get anything this time. The girls hung out, went shopping a little and ate alot of food :) Enjoy the pics...Faith is getting so big, it's hard to believe :)
Aunt Danielle and Reagan taking a nap on the couch...holidays can be exhausting sometimes too :)
Faith meeting Great-Grandma Berning for the first time!
4 Generations!

Faith and Grandpa Van Eaton having fun...he was getting her hands, and she loved it :)

Thank goodness for Gma and Aunt Ally!

This post is a long time coming!!! Sorry to those of you who keep up with this blog....we (well, actually I) haven't been good about updating it this past month. BUT...Gma Debbie and Aunt Ally came to visit a few weeks ago...and we're finally getting some pics up! It was an eventful week as Faith had her first (and hopefully last :) ) ear infection and Aunt Ally celebrated her birthday....which is very close to Faith's half birthday. We had a great time together, and it was so good to have them here while Faith was sick. Unfortunately, I didn't take enough pics as I was preoccupied with keeping Faith happy in the midst of her ear infection. But, here are the pics we do have :)

Playing before they had to go home.

Faith had a hard time sleeping as there was alot of pressure in her ears, so we let her get comfy on Gma :)

Helping Aunt Ally do some work on her computer!

Thanks so much to Gma and Aunt Ally for a GREAT week!!!! Other big news.... soon after Gma and Aunt Ally left, Faith also cut her first tooth!!!! Very exciting. It's now a little more painful when she tries to chew on our fingers. More pics soon...maybe right now :) Playing catch up while Faith plays in her exercauser!

A Tea Party for the Girls... (and various other pics)

So, we're finally getting some pictures uploaded!!! It's been pretty busy her with midterms for me and the trimester ending for Nate. But, thankfully, in the midst of the busyness, we had the chance to meet Dan and Derrica at Deidra and Todd's house this past weekend as they live only about an hour away in Osage Beach.
We had such a fun weekend, and it was nice for the guys and girls to get to do their own things. As you can see....the girls went to a tea party! Deidra treated us to a morning at a tea room where we got to choose from over 100 teas. Along with our own pot of tea, we were also served a three course "English style" brunch. It was such a treat! The guys spent the day hunting, buying camo and doing various other "man" activities :)

Derrica, Deidra, me and Faith at our special tea table. Faith didn't last too long before it was time for a morning nap :)
I had peach and apricot tea, Derrica tried a chocolate tea, and Deidra had strawberry shortcake. We each had a cup of each other's tea too. We couldn't decide on our favorite. They were all really good.
Oh the days when it was okay to drool all over mom :)Since we haven't posted in so long...we have lots of random pics... Laughing while Dad lifts her high

Yum-o! Faith is loving her rice now a days. She's also tried banana and likes it. Next we're going for carrots. We'll let you know :)

Isn't this towel cute? Our little flower child (thanks Aunt Der!)

A friend made this had for Faith and it's been cool enough to try it out. She gets that ornery look from her dad...

Have we mentioned that she loves her bunny...as you can see...

Faith has turned into a chatterbox lately, so we've been having fun with that. One of these days we're going to tape her and figure out how to post it on here...one of these days :) She can pretty much roll over, but it's slow going. She's getting better and better. We're having more and more fun with her....it seems like she's getting more ticklish too...especially her feet and belly. It makes us laugh more than her, I think :) Hope you all have a good laugh today too!

Pumpkin Farm with Grandma and Grandpa!

Grandma Debbie and Paw-paw Al came to visit this week. We had a great time together, and one day we ventured to a pumpkin farm. As you can see...we found a very cute pumpkin at a bargain price :) Faith with her Grandma and Grandpa
Now, how does this thing work? Arms too?Oh, just my head! I got it...like this? Grandpa ventured into Amanda's pretty but muddy garden for a picture opp.
Faith and I with the scarecrowFaith is checking out the goats...not so sure about them :) After the pumpkin farm we went to visit Daddy at school.
Grandma and Faith were playing (after the outfit change :)) while we helped Nate get his school things together.
Playing with Paw-paw one more time before they left.

So, as you can see....it was a great time. Faith is a little bit lost now that the house is so much quieter. She sort of looked at me after they left like, "ok....just me and you? what a rip off!" :) Nate and I both put off alot of our work this week, so we're getting caught up this weekend and enjoying the Fall weather. That's all for now :)

"She has the tiniest thumb I've ever seen!"

As you can see from the pictures, we got to go to school today! Faith was a hit in her daddy's classroom :) Kids asked questions like...does she walk? does she talk? does she have teeth? It was pretty funny. And thier side comments were the best, hence the blog title. One little boy said this as he stared at her fingers. A couple girls came up to me and said, "She is definitley the cutest baby I have ever seen in my entire life." What mom doesn't love hearing this? :) The third and fourth pics are shots of Nate's classroom. The teams compete against each other by gaining behavior "yardage"
Helping dad clean off the board after the kids went home.

Listening to dad play the guitar. She loves it...her legs start kicking....

Playing in Cousin Reagan's exersaucer. Faith likes it for a little while, but then gets worn out from holding herself up. I'm sure she'll like it more and more the older/stronger she gets.

Playing with a finger puppet we got from the library today. Diana let us borrow her bumbo tray which works really well.

Faith and I went home to Iowa this past weekend. We had the chance to go to Skyler's funeral. Of course, it was such a sad day, but the service was done very well and his family was so gracious. From what I have heard, Taryn is doing much better and is out of the ICU.

Faith and I went up to see Danielle, Weston and Reagan after being in Villisca. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera. It was so great to see them all. Reagan and Faith are fascinated with each other. Faith recieved lots of hugs and kisses from Reagan. It was so sweet.

Well, that's all for now!
