Remarkably Energetic Amidst the Wheezing!

So, Faith has started rolling ACROSS the floor. It's probably the funnies thing Nate and I have ever seen :) She just keeps going and going. And, it just randomly started a few days ago....all in her own time....so here are some pics of her after she's made it all the way across the floor and to the wall on the other side of our living room. The object of her rolling was the plant which is sitting on the floor (though not for long).....

But Mom, I LIKE this plant...

I'm not really sure what NO means yet (though I have a pretty good idea), so I'm going to keep pushing it....
I'm even going to try to EAT it :) No leafy greens for the baby yet...

And here she is in the exersaucer one day also while she was sick...this was taken a couple of days ago...as you can probably tell by the expression on her face (she doesn't try to hide much)...she wasn't feeling as well here :)

Hope you all are staying healthy and blessed during this Winter Season!

Iowa Visit (a little late with the pics :) )

Since I didn't go back to school until mid-January, after Nate, Faith and I took a quick trip to Iowa to visit family. While we were there, we also celebrated Christmas. It was a good, quick trip. Faith was a trooper.....especially considering that a few days after we got home she developed RSV (nasty respiratory virus). Grandma Debbie visited for a few days, and we are thankful she could be here to take care of Faith when the virus was getting started. Unfortunately, she hasn't been feeling well either. So far Nate and I haven't gotten sick yet, nad we're praying that we won't even though our doctor told us that it's inevitable :)

Poor Faith has been through alot with breathing treatments and a very bad cough. But, she's improving each day. She's in really good spirits considering everything! So, here's some pics of our time in Iowa, then we'll post another blog with more recent pics :)

Aunt KiKi helping Faith open and play with the present she got her a "Pucci Pup." It looks pretty much like Grandma Dorothy's dog, Tucker.....as you can see below....Faith thought it was funny, and she still loves it. Good job Aunt Kiki :)Grandma Dorothy helping Faith with her stocking. Faith wasn't so sure about the sippy cup. She's looking to Grandma for some explanations :)Reagan with her present from Faith. Faith didn't realize that Reagan's Mommy doesn't really love these toys since she gets them all over everything :) So, it's a special toy just for Grandma's house!
Faith playing with Grandpa Tim. She giggled and giggled on his shoulders!

New Year and Another Birthday

Happy 2009 a few days late :) For New Year's our friends Jeremy, Sarah, and thier new baby Asher came over for dinner. Nate baked deer meat that he hunted last year. It was SO good. We had a great time with the Conrad family. So, of course we needed to post some pictures of thier sweet little boy :)
Asher and Faith in their hoods. Flower child meets little bear man.My birthday was yesterday, so Nate made me some delicious pancakes (notice the "L" shaped pancake and the candle :) ) for breakfast. We were going to go out, but Faith had been running a temp for a couple days, so we stayed in with her. We are hoping to go out sometime soon though. But, regardless, it was a great day and these were yummy pancakes.
Blowing out the trick candle. Faith wasn't sure what to think of it.Faith playing on the floor. She had been sitting up, and she rolled onto her belly to reach a toy...as you can tell by the rattle under her belly that she rolled onto :)
We've been trying to get good pics of her teeth for awhile, and finally we did! So, you can see her two little bottom teeth here. She's working on more.
That's what we've got for now! Nate started back to school today. He was a little anxious about the day as there's alot to get done. Faith seems to be doing better today. She didn't have a temp this morning when she woke up which is an answer to prayer. Hopefully we'll all stay healthy :)

Merry (late) Christmas!

The Christmas holiday has been so good for us. A much needed and appreciated break. We spent about 10 days in Oklahoma visiting family, then came home. Faith did really well being away from home. She quickly adjusted to having so many people around, and was hamming it up in no time. Some highlights from our visit were:
  • Faith celebrating her first Christmas!!! (of course :) )
  • Faith learning to clap with music and watching her jump in her jumperoo while Nate and Dan played their guitars
  • The girls seeing the Tulsa Ballet perform the Nutcracker
  • Beginning the Twilight series and seeing the movie (thanks Allison!)
  • The guys spending alot of time hunting and just being outdoors
  • Celebrating Al and Debbie's 34th Anniversary
  • Having fun at a Lia Sophia jewelry party hosted by Allison and Derrica
  • Debbie's cooking!

Faith with Uncle Raymond at church. She wasn't too sure about his beard, but she warmed up :)Faith's very first Christmas present from Wes, Carole and Clint. We let her open it a little bit early :) (mostly b/c mom isn't real patient). She was concentrating very hard on unwrapping, as you can see.

A jack-in-the-box! It's a soft "jack," so Faith loves to chew on it :)
The ladies having coffee and desert at Mi Mi's after the Nutcracker. We didn't exactly know that the desert would be so huge or we would have shared!

Our little family on Christmas day.Faith's new outfit from Uncle Dick and Aunt Pam. Thank you!
Woo Hoo! Thirty four years! We got to celebrate Al and Debbie's anniversary with them. The kids made this red velvet cake for them. Al made us all steaks over the fire. It was all delicious.

Faith chillin out with the guys in the basement.

Faith and G-ma up early

Derrica sells Lia Sophia jewelry, and Allison had a party at her apartment. We got to meet some of her friends and look at very pretty jewelry :) Here we are posing with alot of jewelry :)

Nate started back to school today with a teacher work day. We're praying the semester gets off to a strong start and that this half of the year isn't quite so stressful. I start my practicum on the 12th, so next week Faith and I are going up to Iowa for a few days to visit.

We hope you all had a joyful Christmas holiday too!
