Our Little Peanut is a........GIRL!!!!!!

Miss Lainie Marie Hutchings!!! This is our little girl, Lainie Marie Hutchings. She is growing healthy and right on target at the 48th percentile. Her heart rate is remaining steady around 140 and all her organs, bones, etc. look great. Miss Lainie was just hanging out, relaxing and sleeping most of the time. Even when she was "jiggled," she didn't have much of a reaction. We saw her shut eyelids and she was sleeping with her tiny mouth open (just like Daddy does sometimes :) ).
We have a hard time thinking of girl names (it was the same way with Faith), but we kept coming back to Lainie, and it just seems to fit. The meaning of Lainie is "light." We know this child will be another light of love and goodness in our life. She already is. We are reminded again of the miracle of conception and birth. What a blessing and somewhat of a relief for Mommy and Daddy to see a healthy baby girl :)

For our ultrasound yesterday, we decided to take our nearly two year old with us. Probably not the best decision we've ever made as Faith had a hard time being in the room (where she could touch very little) for the 35 mins it takes to do all the measurements, etc. But, it was a family affair, and we celebrated our healthy little sister with Culvers and the park. Faith is practicing saying Lainie, and I'd have to say she's pretty good at it! Hopefully I'll get a video of it up soon. We are SO excited to see Faith and Lainie grow together. As one of three girls myself, I know the special bond of sisters and look forward to seeing that with Faith and Lainie. We had to share the good news :)

Our Peanut is Growing!

19 Weeks Along! The peanut is growing into a nice baby bump at this point :) And a week from today we find out whether we are having a boy or a girl. We're not the patient type in this area....and we're so excited! And here is our other peanut...who has suddenly become quite the talkative toddler. She's our twirly, loveable, strong-willed little girl. She just loved being in this dress Sunday morning. So, thank you Aunt Pam and Uncle Dick for the beautiful dress! And to make things even better, we got a visit from Uncle Dan and Aunt DD this weekend! We are thankful they were able to make the trip down to visit, and we miss them already. Faith adores her uncle and aunt, and it's so much fun for us to see. She gave lots of hugs and kisses, here she is giving Aunt DD a kiss...

Faith mader herself comfy on the sofa at Sam's club and requested that DD and Uncle Buba sit beside her.

Sunday afternoon snooze time for Uncle Buba.

While Dan and DD were here, we also had the chance to visit Deidra, Todd and baby Quincy at the Lake. This was the first time we'd gotten to see him since he was born, and it was too short but very sweet. What a good baby!!!! He was calm, cool and collected with a loving, confident and funny Mommy and Daddy. Deidra and Todd treated us to great Chinese while we were there too. Thanks Deid and Todd!

Family picture before church on Sunday. I think she's got the hang of "Cheese!" Don't you?

In other news, Spring is slowly approaching and we are TOO excited. We're hoping to plant a garden this year, and I can't wait to get it going. We currently rent and are still debating on how exactly to have a garden without "breaking the rules" and tilling up the yard. We're brainstorming a raised garden, so we'll let you know about our progress :) And, if any of you gardeners out there have advice, send it this way!

WOW! Time goes fast!

Time flies around here, doesn't it?! I need to be better about updating this blog. Lots has happened since the last time I updated....we have had visitors--Gigi and Pawpaw came to visit us for about a week...and they brought a VAN with them! Yep, we bought a van, and it is amazing. Pictures of it to come soon, but not in this update. I'll elaborate more on it later.

We had a great visit, eating lots of Gigi's great food, going to the park, playing games, watching Faith dance, etc. She just loved it.

Faith got sick somewhere in there with an ear infection which transitioned into some respiratory problems. She is now on breathing treatments for her wheezing (allergy/asthma related the dr. thinks). She had her first treatment at the dr. office which was AWFUL. But, since then, with the help of Daddy and various videos, it has gone much much better. She is still having some wheezing, but it's improving and hopefully will be gone by the end of her treatment this Thursday.

And, this Tuesday I'll have my 18 week apt. Time really is flying! So far, this pregnancy seems to be going alot faster than it did with Faith--being busy with a toddler will do that, I guess :) And, when I think back I'm pretty sure the first part of my pregnancy with Faith went quickly too...before the hugeness starts to set in (literally). The pregnancy is going so smoothly so far. I am very blessed to not have had much sickness, just tired so far...and getting comfy sleeping. But, no complaints! I'm feeling the baby move more and more which I really love. We're ready for Faith and Daddy to feel baby too :)

Well, here are some recent pics of the fam. Enjoy!

Pawpaw following Faith down the slide. He's a pretty cool pawpaw.

Yeah!!! Warmer weather!

Our first family picnic earlier this evening after playing at the park. Many more to come as the weather gets warmer.

Shaving with Daddy...a favorite pasttime.
